What a purchase of NGX shares costs: the arithmetic

2 min · Data of 7 November 2026

The money you need for a purchase is the number of shares times the price, plus the broker's commission and any taxes. The first part is arithmetic on the close; the second is in the broker's fee schedule and on the contract note. This page does the first part for every company on the board.

Reading the table

The cheapest 100-share purchase on the board is ACCESSCORP at ₦2,690; the dearest is NESTLE at ₦265,000.

Price per share does not rank companies by size. A low price per share can belong to a very large company that has issued many shares. The table is for working out money, not for comparing companies.

What is on top of the table's figures

A contract note usually lists, besides the value of the trade, the broker's commission and charges levied by the exchange and the regulator. Their rates are set by those bodies and by the broker, and none is in the data this site reads, so none is printed here. Ask the broker for the schedule before you trade, and read the note after.

Tax on a later sale or on a dividend is set in law. This site does not state rates it cannot read from a source.

Closes are not live prices

Every figure on this page is the close of 6 November 2026. The price you trade at is set by the order book at the moment of your order, and the exchange limits how far a price can move in a session. Use the table to estimate money, then check the live price with the broker.
