Method: how the figures are read, worked out and checked

Sources, definitions, the check that runs before a record is written, and what is not updated automatically.

Two sources, and what each is used for

The close, the previous close and the sector label come from the Nigerian Exchange's own equities board, read on 6 November 2026. The 52-week low and high, and the company names, come from TradingView's public screener, read the same day. TradingView's sector labels are not used; the exchange's are.

Both are public readings, kept as read. The screener is not an official publication of the exchange.

How each figure is worked out

Close: the price the board prints after the session. Previous close: the one the exchange prints. Change: close ÷ previous close − 1. 52-week low and high: the screener's. Position: (close − low) ÷ (high − low). Cost of a purchase: number of shares × close.

No figure is typed. A figure that cannot be read from a source is not printed.

Checks before a record is written

The screener's close must be within a half of one percent of the exchange's, and the previous close derived from its change must match the exchange's. The close must lie inside its 52-week range, no change may exceed 35 percent in a session, and the sector label must equal the exchange's.

The check is itself tested: seven planted faults must all be refused.

What is not updated automatically

The site is not refreshed by itself. The data was read on 6 November 2026 and each table says so. If the data is read again, the pages are rebuilt and the figures change together with their dates.

What is deliberately missing

A chart, a month-end table and one, three and five-year changes are missing because the source of daily bars did not answer on the day of reading. Dividend amounts and dates are missing because they are inside notice PDFs this site does not read. Broker commissions, regulator and exchange charges and tax rates are missing because none is in a source this site can read. A gap is stated on the page, not filled.
